|"the calling of the teacher...There is no craft more privileged. To awaken in another human being powers, dreams beyond one’s own; to induce in others a love for that which one loves; to make of one’s inward present their future; that is a threefold adventure like no other."|

Hello! Welcome to Ms. Richard's website. I hope you find the website useful and interactive. I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised inChicago, Illinois but have lived in Connecticut, New York and California. I moved in 2000 to Arizona. I was able to stay home with my kiddos for a while and then began the journey towards my teaching degree in special education. Working with children with learning disabilities has been a dream for me!
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Yale in 1988 with a B.A. in Economics. I received my Post Baccalaureate from Rio Salado College in 2008. I received my Masters from Grand Canyon University in 2014. I love being a life-long learner!!
My Educational Philosophy
I would love my students to become life- long learners. I want them to know that a learning disability doesn’t define who they are and that they all have gifts and strengths to offer their community. I want to be a guide for them in their journey of self-discovery. I want to encourage my students to dream. My wish is for my students to develop a deep love for themselves and appreciate all of their attributes.
