My name is Connie DeLeon. I have taught at CTA Humphrey since 1996. Previously I have taught in a 5/6 gifted, ¾ gifted, second and now third grade. I have a cabin up in Show Low that I enjoy spending as much time as possible and I love going to the Diamondback baseball games. I also like to go to the movies and to spend lots of time with my family. I have a wonderful husband and three grown children and seven wonderful grandchildren.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from ASU in 1995 with a degree in Education. I earned my master's degree in Curriculum and Design from Northern Arizona University in 1999. I have an Early Childhood endorsement I received in 2006.
My Educational Philosophy
At CTA-Humphrey, we are preparing all students with the academic and social skills necessary to pursue any dream. Our job is to help each child attain his/her potential, academically and socially, and establish a community of life-long learners. We work for opportunities for all children to become well-rounded citizens, both academically and socially, with the hope that we will equip them to become contributing members of society. C.A.R.E.S. (Cooperation, Assertion, Responsibility, Empathy and Self-Control) forms the foundation for the success of all members of the CTA-Humphrey community-staff, students and parents. We promise to act with personal integrity and with a commitment to have a positive attitude that empowers our vision. Together we hope to provide a legacy for continued learning.
