|Position:||School Counselor, M.ED|
My name is Kendra Davis, and I have been the counselor at Navarrete since our school opened and with the Chandler Unified School District for over 25 years. My first nine years were spent as a classroom teacher, and the rest of my years have been served as a counselor. I am proud to be a member of the best school district in the state, and have been humbled by the many mentors that I have been able to learn from over the years.
My Education and Professional Background
I received my M.ED degree from Northern Arizona, and continued to pursue my education in a post Masters program in counseling. I am certified by the state department as a counselor for grades K-12. Additionally, I have received training to help children cope with grief and loss by the famed author and training director of hospice, Helen Fitzgerald. I currently serve on our District Crisis Team, and am blessed that CUSD provides me with training opportunities that have included learning from some of the best crisis and trauma professionals in the country.
My Educational Philosophy
I am extremely proud to be a Nighthawk! I absolutely love my job, and consider myself blessed to be greeted with little smiles everyday. All of our students are precious to me, and it is my belief that all are capable of success!
