Welcome to Andersen Junior High School, home of the jaguars!
My Education and Professional Background
After graduating from Corona del Sol High School I moved to Rexburg, Idaho and received my B.A. in Spanish Education with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language from BYU-Idaho. I also passed the AEPA and have become certified in Middle Grades Language Arts. I have been teaching at Andersen Junior High since 2011. Prior to teaching at AJHS, I taught Spanish and English to speakers of other languages in the Mesa district. I received my Masters in Educational Administration in 2019 and am currently working out of the classroom as the Title One and AVID Coordinator at Andersen Junior High School.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that every student is capable of learning and that all students learn differently. I know that the best way to learn something is to teach it to others. My classroom consists of collaborative learning environment to maximize every learning opportunity we have throughout the school year. Together we will develop the skills needed to experience success both in and out of the classroom.
The Choice is Yours! Why Choose AJHS?
