Welcome!

Welcome to Casteel High's Lift Lab learning environment! I began my teaching career in 1996 and absolutely love watching students progress in their learning and self-confidence. In the lift lab setting, students will work independently to reach personal academic and growth goals. I will work hard to create a positive, reflective environment filled with support and encouragement to help each student achieve success. Together we can do it!

My Education and Professional Background

Mrs. Ring possesses a:
  • Bachelor of Arts (Biology) {Quinnipiac University}
  • Master of Arts in Teaching (Secondary Science) {Quinnipiac University}
  • Sixth Year Certificate (science specialist) {Southern Connecticut State University}
  • Masters in Educational Leadership (K-12 Principal) {Arizona State University}
Mrs. Ring taught 7th and 8th grade science in Connecticut for three years prior to moving to Arizona in 1999. She immediately began teaching in the Chandler Unified School District where she has served as a 6th and 7th grade science teacher. Mrs. Ring was thrilled to be selected as one of the teachers to open Santan Junior High School in 2002, where she taught for 17 years. In 2019, Mrs. Ring joined the staff at Casteel High as the Lift Lab teacher, helping students achieve academic goals.

My Educational Philosophy

Mrs. Ring's philosophy of education is that each child, despite individual needs, abilities, and talents can learn! A safe environment in which all students feel included and valued contributes to a learning community in which learning is maximized. Students should grow as learners and as people when in the classroom setting. As a result, Mrs. Ring's approach is student-centered, inquiry-based, relevant, engaging, and collaborative in nature allowing students to discover content and connections.
