Welcome to 2nd grade! My name is Luz Wright and I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. I have 2 children: Kenny is a freshman at Hamilton High School and JT is a 5th grader at Tarwater Elementary School. I also have 3 dogs named Teddy, Cody, and Bear. I am originally from Wyoming (Go Cowboys!) I have been teaching for 17 years and I have the best job in the world where I get to play all day!
My Education and Professional Background
I began teaching in Tucson and I have been teaching in Chandler since 2004. I am a University of Arizona graduate (Go Wildcats!!) and I have my Masters of Education from Northern Arizona University.
My Educational Philosophy
I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well as embrace the differences of others. Every classroom has its own unique community; my role as the teacher will be to assist each child in developing their own potential and learning styles.
