My Education and Professional Background
It’s an honor and privilege to be your principal! Throughout my career in education, I have also served as an Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, and Behavior Specialist. I spent 14 years in the classroom as a Resource Teacher, Intermediate Grades Teacher, and Gifted Education Teacher. I earned a Masters Degree in Special Education and a Bachelors Degree in Family Studies and Child Development from the University of Arizona. I am certified in Elementary Education and Special Education (K-12), endorsed in Gifted and SEI education, and hold a Principal Certification. I am an Arizona native and live in Chandler with my husband and twin daughters. I am an avid sports fan, animal lover, and enjoy doing anything that allows me to spend time with my family and friends.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe a successful school is one that focuses on the social, emotional, and intellectual development of children and places what is best for students at the center of each and every decision. I believe all children can learn and it is our job as educators to find out what motivates and inspires each one of our students to learn in order to support them in realizing their dreams. A successful school is a place where genuine relationships are built between all stakeholders and honest and open communication is the norm.
