About
Wheeler...
Hello, I am happy to be teaching third grade here at CTA Goodman. I am married, and have a grown daughter named Amie. In my spare time, I love to read, travel, shop, go to movies and just hang out with family and friends.
My Education and Professional Background
I have a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Utah State University. I did my graduate studies at ASU. I began my teaching career in 1986 in Mesa. I have experience with gifted education, was a science/social studies liason in Mesa, and was tenured and involved with career ladder. I currently have an AZ elementary (K-8) certificate, a sheltered English immersion endorsement, and an early childhood endorsement (birth-8 yrs).
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that all students are capable of learning. I try to provide a learning environment where my students feel safe to try new things and stretch their wings a bit. It's my goal to guide students to become good problem solvers, and independent critical thinkers who have a thirst for life-long learning.
