Diversity Statement: All individuals have a right to an educational environment free from bias, prejudice and bigotry. As members of the Basha High School educational community, students are expected to refrain from participating in acts of harassment that are designed to demean another student's race, gender, ethnicity, religious preference, disability or sexual orientation.

Conference periodwill be on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:17 - 9:45. During this time students are only allowed out of the classroom if they have a pass with a teacher signature or a properly designated club pass. The library is not available during conference. Students should use this time to study or read.

Grading Procedures: Students will be graded on class performance, oral participation, homework, quizzes, tests, projects, and in-class activities. A double zero (00) in the grade book means your student was absent when an assignment was given or turned in. It doesn't count ‘double' against them, it is just a good way to know the difference between an assignment they chose not to turn in, and an absent assignment. They have until the end of the week to turn in the work in order to replace the double zero for full credit.

Your semester grade is made up of the following:

    Quarter 1-40% Quarter 2-40% Final Exam-20%

Accessing Grades:Parents can access their child's grades and assignments by going to the school's website and clicking on Parent Connect under the “Academics” tab. Students' information is only accessible by using an individualized password assigned by the school. Parents may contact office personnel/counselor for their child's password.

Workbooks: Students will receive a workbook to take home. They may NOT write in the workbook. Most of their homework will be from this book. If they loose or damage the book, a $15 fee will be applied to replace the book.

Cell Phones: If a student is using a cell phone (texting or talking), it will be taken away and turned into the front office. Please do not text your student during class. If you have an emergency and need to contact your student, please call the front office.
