Hello! Welcome to room 27. I am so excited to have your child in class this year. I look forward to working with you and your child. This is going to be a great school year.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2006 with a bachelors in Elementary Education. I spent my first 7 years teaching fourth grade in Tempe before coming to chandler in 2013. I earned my masters in Multicultural Educations with an emphasis in ESL.
My Educational Philosophy
William Butler Yates stated that, “education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” I believe that teachers cannot just teach students facts and information but they need to spark the interest of a child. I strive to make learning fun and exciting by coming up with lessons that are hands on, engaging and educational. My goal is to make all students live long learners.
