Menghini...
Welcome to Mrs. Menghini's Second Grade Class!
My Education and Professional Background
•BS from Northern Arizona University in Business/Hotel Management. •Elementary Education Degree from University of Phoenix. •SEI Endorsed I began teaching in 1999 in the Scottsdale School District. I taught 4th grade there for three years before moving briefly to Colorado, where I taught 4th grade and Gifted Education for two years. After my oldest daughter was born, I was lucky enough to stay home with her, and her twin brother and sister. It is a special privilege to be able to teach at the school my kids attend, in a neighborhood that I live in and love.
My Educational Philosophy
Growing up, I lived all over the country, as well as overseas in Italy and Japan. I love to bring my passion for different cultures into the classroom, as well as an all around love for learning. I plan to build a classroom community where each child will be encouraged, valued and challenged. Most importantly, I will create an atmosphere where learning is fun, because every child should LOVE school!
