| I am the teacher for the self-contained, multiple disabilities classroom. I graduated from High Point University with an honors degree in Psychology. I decided to return to school to receive my special education teaching certificate. This is my seventh year teaching. I taught special education for four years in North Carolina. I have taught a functional curriculum at the high school setting; including math, literacy, vocational skills and life skills. I also have experience as a community-based vocational job coach. This is my third year teaching at Basha in the MD/SSI classroom. I am thrilled to be at Basha High and look forward to having a wonderful and productive year!
I recently married and am now a mother of six wonderful children who keep me very busy when I'm not at work. I also have two dogs: a Shih Tzu named Charlie and a Goldendoodle named Zeus. They are rather spoiled and I wouldn't have it any other way! I enjoy reading, movies, exercising and LOVE to grill. My favorite activity is spending time with my family. |
