|"The best way to measure how much you've grown isn't by inches or the number of laps you can now run around the track, or even your grade point average-- though those things are important, to be sure. It's what you've done with your time, how you've chosen to spend your days, and whom you've touched this year. That, to me, is the greatest measure of success."|

My Education and Professional Background
I began teaching 17 years ago here at CUSD. I have worked with all levels K-adult as a classroom teacher, classroom volunteer, substitute, Director of Education, and college instructor. I am also a perpetual student. I have a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and an MEd in Educational Technology and am currently working on my MEd in Special Education.
My Educational Philosophy
Learning is personal. Learning is not the same for everyone, but everyone can learn. While learning is a personal journey, it is a journey that we take with many different people. Our parents, teachers, classmates, friends, etc. help to guide and encourage our learning. Our individual learning can be positively, or negatively, influenced by those around us. Our classroom motto is "Together we can!" Together we can explore, dream, struggle, support, laugh, cry, debate, collaborate, soar, fall down and get back up. Together we learn and grow.
