    Welcome to 2nd grade in Lucky Room #13! I am excited to be a part of your child's learning experience this year. This website is meant to keep you informed about your child's school experience.     My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Purdue University in Indiana with elementary education and special education degrees.  Later, I earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from NAU.  I began teaching at Hartford in 2014, and have been teaching in this district for 18 years.  Previously, I taught in Indianapolis and Chicago.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Teaching is my passion and my purpose in life. I love the challenges and rewards of teaching young minds. It is a joy to witness the small successes the students make and the perseverance, determination, and grit that is exhibited to achieve their goals. I believe that my role as a teacher is to not only teach young minds how to become independent and creative thinkers and problem solvers, but to also create a culture of kindness and respect within the classroom. Although my task is great, the challenges and rewards of this profession are worth my 110% efforts.
