Welcome to Willis Junior High Special Education, we're excited to have you!
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Arizona State University in December of 2013 with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. My first year at Willis was last year and I taught 7th Grade Math. This is my first year in the Special Education program. Here at Willis I work with children with Autism in a self-contained classroom. I also coach Baseball, Volleyball, and Basketball and love to be involved in other clubs. I enjoyed teaching Math, I now enjoy teaching Special Ed. and I am excited for the years to come.
My Educational Philosophy
As a Special Education program we are striving to work together to reach our goals. Every student brings diversity to our classroom. This diversity is what keeps our classroom running and the creative juices flowing. This is how we create the best learning environment for our students. In this environment everyone has an equal chance to learn and become successful. I think it is best described by this short haiku that I wrote. Flower seeds planted in fall. Absorb knowledge. They blossom together .
