Originally from Chicago, Megan has been dancing since the age of two, training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, pom and modern dance. In high school, she trained with Gould Academy while dancing competitively with St. Edward Central Catholic's Pom Dance Team. As a 4 year varsity dancer, she was a member of the state champion team and also competed nationally. In 2002, Megan attended ASU as a dance major receiving the Sun Devil Scholarship as well as dance education scholarships. Upon graduation, Megan was hired by Higley Unified School District where she created the competitive dance and pom programs at Williams Field High School. Megan held the title of WFHS Dance Director for seven years, and she was also the varsity head pom coach. While teaching, she continued her education at University of Phoenix and received her Master’s in Secondary Education in 2008. This is her second year at Hamilton, and she is excited to coach the varsity pomline.
My Educational Philosophy
Megan believes that dancing is an outlet to increase confidence and self esteem. She loves watching students achieve goals and keep dance as a part of their lives!
