About
MacNabb...
Welcome to Mrs. MacNabbs's fifth grade class! I am looking forward to a great year of learning, exploration and fun,
My Education and Professional Background
I have a teaching degree from Central Michigan University and a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. This will be my second year of teaching elementary school. I held a variety of positions in the field of education including a high school teacher, elementary/middle school counselor, substitute teacher and an administrator at Arizona State University College of Law
My Educational Philosophy
I want my students to enjoy school and look forward to learning. I believe it is the teacher's responsibility to create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment that challenges student minds; develops creative and critical thinking skills; engages students in discussions and classroom activities; and encourages all students to believe in their potential and strive to do their best.
