What We Do
The Auxier PTO works hard with teachers, staff, parents and families to help transform Auxier from a pile of bricks to a community built for helping our students thrive. In the past, we have been blessed with financial donations which have been able to purchase much needed equipment for the school. For example, the PTO purchased laptops and desktops computers for students to use during their school day. Also, with school security being at the forefront of most parents’ minds, we have purchased communication radios for staff to use. To help relieve some of the summer’s heat, we have had a shade structure constructed at our drop off/pick up area.
While Auxier has come a long way in the short time it has been open and has attained the esteemed Lighthouse Status with the Leader In Me program, our current goals for fundraising will help Auxier grow in the STEM department – by expanding the Project Lead The Way program for our students.
With monetary fundraising, we have been able to complete quite a few goals in the past couple years. Our outlook is also expanding from not only what can we do within our school, but how can we also help our community. In the 2018-2019 school year, we started a small campaign in conjunction with our final book fair to provide books for children in foster care. We are planning to expand this campaign a little more each year, with the hopes that it becomes an amazing community outreach program for Auxier.
Who We Are – Your Executive Board Members
Kim Pennartz, President
Kim is an Arizona native who has been a part of the Auxier community since 2016 when her oldest began in Mrs. Stewart’s kindergarten class. She has 2 kids attending Auxier, 3rd grade and Kinder. In 2017, she was elected Secretary for the PTO and took over the presidency during the 2017-2018 school year when the position was vacated. She was then elected President for the 2018-2019 school year. She truly enjoys helping out the entire school, students and staff. In the free time she has between work, PTO and family, she enjoys DIY projects and reading.

She taught junior high in Chandler for ten years before staying home with her children full time. She has two sons attending Auxier and two daughters who will be here in the next few years. In her free time, she loves reading, crafting and running her graphic design business. This is her
first year helping at a school outside of the classroom in a PTO capacity. She looks forward to getting to know more of the great parents and teachers that make Auxier such a great school!
