Welcome!

Preschool is an exciting time in a child's development and I am looking forward to sharing this next school year with your child and your family! My hope is that we can work together as a team to support your child's individual growth. I am looking forward to an exciting year of interactive learning in pre-K.

My Education and Professional Background

Welcome to STEM pre-K! My name is Cammi Kenski and I am thrilled to be a part of the CUSD pre-K program. I have previously taught Kindercacademy and community preschool in the Chandler Unified School District. I strive to make my classroom a place of learning, exploring and fun. My children proudly attend CUSD schools and I am happy to be teaching in CUSD!

My Educational Philosophy

We believe that children learn through experience and discovery. Our goal is to prepare children to enter kindergarten with a healthy self-concept and a positive attitude toward school and learning. This is accomplished by offering age appropriate curriculum designed to develop social, emotional, physical and cognitive abilities in our students. Since every child is unique, our preschools are designed to allow children to initiate activities that grow from personal interest and intentions.

My desire as a teacher is to unlock each child's potential in a safe, warm, and caring classroom environment. Each child must be respected and valued by both the classroom teacher and by his/her peers.

I am so excited I get to share your child's first grade year!

My Education and Professional Background

I am so excited I get to share your child's first grade year. I'd like to give you some background about myself. My education is vast, beginning in the 80's. I first went to college for nursing and worked in a Trauma Rehabilitation Unit, Medical/Surgical as well as nursing homes. Also, I have a B.A. in Business in Nutrition from A.S.U. My passion for teaching began in 2002 after I received my teacher certification from A.S.U. I have taught both 1st and 2nd grade since 2003. This knowledge I attained during my years of teaching led me to want to understand the administration side of how and why schools are run in the manner they are: hence, I earned my Master's degree in Administration.

My Educational Philosophy

All their new discoveries bring learning. I believe that learning needs to be fostered by a parent- teacher relationship. Please contact me with any questions or concerns you have now, when your child is transitioning to his/her new classroom, and anytime throughout the year!

This website is designed to provide resources for you and your child. I look forward to corresponding with you and listening to your suggestions. I'm looking forward to an exciting, fun-filled school year with your child!

My Education and Professional Background

I attended A.S.U. for my undergraduate studies in education, and then earned my masters degree. My teaching career first started at Jacobson Elementary where I taught third grade for three years. I then taught in Chicago for two years and enjoyed my experience living in the city. After returning to Arizona, I wrote curriculum and helped train teachers at an educational consulting company for three years. My Educational Philosophy

I'm proud to mention that I am an Arizona native and I have grown up attending Chandler schools. I feel it is essential to give back to the community, and I find it a privilege to teach children at C.U.S.D. I love providing a safe and welcoming environment for students. It's an eye-opening experience to discover the many learning styles students demonstrate throughout the year. Welcome!

Welcome Students and Parents!

My Education and Professional Background

I have been teaching since 2005. I received my bachelors from Ottawa University, and my Masters in Education and my Reading Endorsement from NAU.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that education is an individual, unique experience for every student who enters a classroom. In order for children to benefit from what schools offer, I think that teachers must fully understand the importance of their job. First, I believe that teachers must consider teaching to be a lifestyle, not a mere forty-hour-a-week job, because a teacher's goals for his/her students encompass much more than relaying out-of-context facts to passive students. As professionals entrusted with the education of young minds, teachers must facilitate learning and growth academically, personally, and ethically. By providing a quality education to each individual in one's classroom, a teacher equips children with the tools necessary for success in life.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to 5th grade! I am originally from the tiny Pacific island of Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. I moved to Arizona in 2012 with my husband, Cole, and our dog, Bella. I am very excited to be your child's teacher this year. We will have a lot of fun learning and growing together. I am honored to have the opportunity to be a partner in your child's education.

My Education and Professional Background

I was a 2nd grade teacher for three and a half years and an elementary school counselor for two and a half years. I taught 4th grade for 2 years in the Higley Unified School District. I have been working at Conley since 2015. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Idaho and a Master's degree in International Education from Framingham State University. I love teaching and learning and plan to continue in this field for many years.

My Educational Philosophy

My educational philosophy begins with encouraging the power and extent of learning for each of my students. Welcome!

Hello 5th Grade Families! Welcome to my classroom website!

My Education and Professional Background

I was a Fire-Fighter in the Air Force from 1985-1989, earned a Radio/Television/Film degree in San Antonio and started a radio career from 1990-1997, working at Magic 105 and KISS FM in Texas and finally KNIX here in Phoenix. I earned my BA in Education at ASU, and my MA in Education at NAU! I have been teaching since 1998 starting in Kyrene, moving to Horizon Community Learning Center, opened ASU Preparatory Academy, became an Education Program Director and full-time faculty for University of Phoenix and am now here at Conley... a place I taught my first year as a long term sub!

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that for students to learn effectively they must engage within a safe learning environment where any newly learned skills can be applied for greater engagement, understanding, and retention. I hope to provide opportunities for all my students to show off their specific talents, skills, and intelligences to aid in their learning process. I believe in a more child-centered approach with the teacher as a facilitator of the learning process. Students must own their own learning and come to class curious and motivated to satisfy those curiosities!

I have been teaching Band and Orchestra (4th-8th Grades) since 2010 in the Phoenix and Queen Creek School Districts.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe on focusing on fundamentals first. This may mean taking a few steps back at the beginning, however, once the students have a firm grasp of the basics it will exponentially increase their ability to be self-sufficient in the long run. When the students feel successful, especially with something they put together with just a bit of guidance from me, that becomes invaluable because they will want to do it again and again.

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, and moved to Flagstaff, Arizona to pursue a teaching degree. After graduating from Northern Arizona University with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education; I completed my student teaching in Vicenza, Italy the following Fall, which was an enriching experience both professionally and culturally. During my time outside of classroom, I enjoy spending time with my loving husband, Terry, our family, friends and adorable dogs, Winslow and Louie. My hobbies include: weightlifting, camping, hiking, dance, reading and seeing live music of all kinds. Our family is passionate about traveling to new places as well. I absolutely love meeting new people and finding inspiration to share with others.

My Educational Philosophy

In terms of teaching techniques, I believe in using a variety of instructional approaches in order to foster learning and progress. All of the lessons developed are created to be purposeful and standards-based. I believe in structure and organization, coupled with hands-on activities that makes learning fun and safe. It is my passion to spend each day with your child and provide them with the tools the fulfill all of their dreams while making sound decisions to be outstanding citizens.
