Please use this site as a tool to help you throughout the year. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to working with you and aiding in your success.
My Education and Professional Background
I spent the first 10 years of my teaching career in the Tempe Union High School district where I taught freshman English, junior English, and English Language Development. I then made the switch to the Puma Nation and joined the Perry team. I take a great deal of pride in my job and love what I do. When I am not teaching, I am juggling my two active little ones Kyla and Cayden and sponsoring the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) here on campus.
My Educational Philosophy
My philosophy on education is that students will learn when they are comfortable and most often when they don't even realize they're learning. My intention is to provide a positive, safe environment for all students to enjoy as they are engaged with the curriculum and learn life lessons along the way.

For students to construct knowledge, they need the opportunity to discover for themselves and practice skills in authentic situations. Diaz...
Bienvenidos/Welcome to Señor Diaz Spanish class 2020-2021 school year. I am from Venezuela and Spanish is my first language. I want to bring the Spanish Language to Perry High School on four important subjects Vocabulary, Grammar, Culture, and Communication. In addition, I will bring a different tool on how to learn another language that will prepare students for the future career or open other doors on how to learn other languages than Spanish and English.
My Education and Professional Background
I have a Bilingual Education and Spanish degree from University of Arizona.·Certified in Spanish High School Subject.·For six years, I have taught Spanish classes in the college level at University of Arizona. I have been teaching Spanish in High School for 4 years·This is my second year at Perry High School.
My Educational Philosophy
Mr. Diaz likes to see the most effort from the students to try to learn another language. I believe it is my job to teach foreign language in a way that is meaningful to the students everyday world. I want to make my students aware that language is a key to unlock other cultures. Understanding another culture broadens perspectives, opens up minds, and empowers students to succeed and take part as responsible citizens in the world. I also believe that every student learns differently, therefore, differentiating the material is essential in every lesson. Learning through movement, art, music, and visuals helps all students have a chance to grasp concepts they might not understand through lecture/note methods of teaching. I believe that laughter and games are a natural part of a foreign language classroom because, as they learn things that most of them have never been exposed.

Dopp...
Welcome to the Perry High School Orchestras. We are excited to make beautiful music of many genres to uplift our spirits and gladden our hearts.
My Education and Professional Background
Bachelors degree in Psychology, Chapman University. Masters degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Chapman University. Masters degree in Music Education, Arizona State University. Doctorate degree in Music Education, Arizona State University.
My Educational Philosophy
It is my belief that all students can learn to play a string instrument. It takes good direction, lots of practice and hard work, but the end result of beautiful music is worth all the effort. Music can become part of your identity; who you are; someone who creates. Learning and performing many genres of music opens your mind and heart to many cultures and peoples who value those genres. Our goal is to uplift everyone with the gift of music.

About
Fireng...
Welcome to Perry High School and Investigative Science. This year you will get chances to explore the world around you in a very exciting and meaningful way. This inquiry-based course is designed to investigate chemistry, physics, biology, and earth-space concepts in order to develop your analytical skills and problem-solving techniques. Concepts explored in the course develop foundational knowledge that ensures success in subsequent high school science classes.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated with a BS in Biology in 1994 and then went on to graduate with distinction in 1998 with a Masters in Curriculum Development from ASU's TEAMS (Teaching Excellence in Math and Science) program. My graduate program had the goal of bringing scientists into the classroom. In 2009 I received a Master's of Education in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching science to students from 7th-12th grade for 17 years.
My Educational Philosophy
Science has always been a subject that excites and intrigues me. From the outer reaches of the cosmos, to the microcosm of the cell or the atom, the grace with which a bird can propel itself through air, the apparent balance found within and among living things, the miracles of modern technology - The natural world is full of beauty, patterns, and mystery waiting to be discovered. It is only natural to be curious and ask the questions why and how and to want to understand the universe. My main goal is to get my students to think critically, scientifically, and creatively in order to solve problems and answer questions about the world. I challenge my students to come to appreciate and understand things which sometimes we take for granted. I hope to pass on my excitement and incite the natural curiosity in my students.

Fortune...
Welcome to Ms. Fortune's website for Chemistry and AP Chemistry.
My Education and Professional Background
I received my bachelor’s degree from Yale University and my MNS in Physics from Arizona State University. This is my ninth year at Perry High School. In 2003, I began teaching Chemistry and Physics at Fountain Hills High School. Giaramita...
Welcome to my Algebra 1 class. I am looking forward to an amazing year.
My Education and Professional Background
I started teaching mathematics in 2003. This is my ninth year teaching Algebra 1 at Perry High School. I graduated from Hunter College with a BA degree, M.Ed from ASU, and another M.Ed. in School Administration from NAU.
My Educational Philosophy
I am dedicated to helping students understand math concepts, but I know that some people struggle with these skills. I have devoted my career to helping students overcome their fear of mathematics and hope that they will come to enjoy the subject as much as I do. I feel that given the proper tools and motivation all students can show improvement and eventually show mastery. I want all of my students to be extraordinary!
