    Welcome!

    I am excited and proud to be a staff member of CTA Freedom. As a Student Services Coordinator, I work with students on character traits, friendship building, conflict resolution, goal setting, growth mindset, and emotional regulation. If you have any questions and I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to a great year and working with our students, staff and Freedom families.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1985, specializing in early childhood education. Out of college, I was hired to teach first grade in the Kyrene School District. I continued to teach and expanded my horizons by teaching fourth and fifth grades. I completed my Master's Degree in Special Education in 1988 from Northern Arizona University. I took time off from work and spent time raising our children. In 2012, I returned to teaching and began a new experience of teaching Special Education in grades K-6 in the Chandler Unified School District. The Student Services Coordinator position came open in 2015 and I was excited to take on a new challenge.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that children are precious and unique individuals who need a structured, caring, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their potential.
