About
Newell...
Welcome to Ms. Rouzaud’s 7th Grade Mathematics Class. I am looking forward to an exciting year of exploring Mathematics with our incoming firebirds.
My Education and Professional Background
I am a recent graduate of Arizona State University, GO Devils! During my time at ASU I studied Elementary Education. I student taught for a whole year in an 8th grade Pre-Algebra room. This is where I fell in love with teaching Mathematics and Junior High atmosphere. This will be my second year at Willis Junior High. I am so excited to continue on with the Firebird team this upcoming school year.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe learning takes place through interactive materials and lessons. I strive to make interactive foldables as well as engaging activities for my students to partake in. I believe strongly in keeping notebooks throughout the year where students can store all notes, homework and classroom assignments in one place. The reason I chose to teach Math is because there is always an answer and many different ways to discover that answer.
