My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, MN with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Math Minor. I later went on to earn my Masters in Education at Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI shortly thereafter. I am highly qualified in the state of Arizona to teach mathematics. I have been teaching 8th grade math since 1999. The first 16 years of my profession were spent in the Middleton/Cross Plains Area School District in Middleton, WI. I was born and raised in Wisconsin. My family and I eventually had enough of the WI winters and shoveling snow, so we decided to relocate to Chandler in the summer of 2015. You don't have to shovel sun! I have been teaching here at Andersen Jr. High since then.
My Educational Philosophy
All students have the ability to learn and do math at a high level. You simply have to DO the math to LEARN the math and MAKE SENSE of what you are doing. I am here to facilitate that process for all my students and foster their confidence and motivation in mathematics.
