About
Bauman...
Hi! My name is Megan Bauman and I teach Spanish here at Hamilton. I am so happy to be here at Hamilton and I look forward to working with my students and parents to give the kids a firm foundation in the Spanish language and encourage them to pursue fluency. I am a native of Arizona and graduated from Corona del Sol in Tempe. I married my husband Chris in 2000 and we have twin boys that were born in 2006 named Connor and Travis.
My Education and Professional Background
After high school I spent a year in Spain as an exchange student and I did a second stay in Spain during college. That experience is truly where I learned Spanish and developed my passion for the language. I graduated from Whittier College in 1998 with a double major in Spanish and International studies. After college I worked for a company that marketed international television networks to cable companies here in the states. After my boys were born I was a stay at home mom. I found my true passion and started teaching Spanish at a small high school in rural Oklahoma in 2011. I moved home in 2014 and kept teaching here in Arizona. I am so proud to be a Husky and work with your kids here at Hamilton!
My Educational Philosophy
I strive to make the Spanish language accessible to all of my students and make learning a foreign fun and interesting while working to help them to become fluent.
