Hello and welcome to Mr. Cory's classes. Whether you are in my Project Lead The Way or Robotics classes, we will be focused on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) learning model. As we learn about science topics, we will apply them to actual projects that we conduct in class. Expect to participate in many hands-on activities, collaborate with others, and solve complex problems using a step-by-step process.

My Education and Professional Background

I have been teaching at Bogle Junior High School since 2005 with a few years of previous educational experience. Prior to that I had a career in banking, owned my own business, and spent time in real estate lending. I received my Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Psychology as concurrent degrees from ASU. Later, I received my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. I am also certified as a CTE instructor with the Arizona Department of Education in the area of Students who interact with and manage their learning will be far more successful. The teacher's role is to guide and inspire students to set and reach rigorous goals based on curriculum standards. Problem-solving skills are necessary for college and career readiness. Failure is not an option - it is a requirement for growth and learning to occur.
