Welcome!

Welcome to Mr. Pezzuto's Storm Center. I am so pleased that you have taken the time out to observe the latest information happening in our school. It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as an extremely proud husband and father three handsome sons ages 5, 4 and 2. I am so excited and look forward to serving our students and community for the 2019-2020 school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any comments, concerns, ideas or questions.

My Education and Professional Background

I earned a BA in Education from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN in December of 2002 with a k-12 Special Education teaching certificate in the areas of ID and LD and began teaching in January of 2003 in Michigan City, IN. I moved to Arizona in 2005 and taught special education at Aztec Elementary School until 2007. In 2007, I transitioned to my place of residence in Tempe and began teaching special education at Fees Middle School. In 2009, I was hired on at McClintock High School in Tempe, AZ as coach, teacher and case manager for students in special education. During my seven years at MHS I became highly qualified in Secondary English in addition to being HQ in special education. Now, in my 17th year of teaching, it is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as the English Language Arts Teacher on Team 8E.

My Educational Philosophy

To create a safe learning environment where students are able to take risks without the fear of failing while providing them with a variety of SMART strategies and focused daily goals in order for them to have the ability to self analyze, self assess, and self reflect on their academic and social progress, thus molding them into superior citizens of the United States of America.
