About
Curtis...
Hello and welcome to another exciting year at one of the best schools in Arizona, Perry High Shool!
My Education and Professional Background
I am in my fourth year teaching here at Perry High School. This year will be my seventh year teaching. I was at Payson high school for my first three years, teaching Physical Education and Weight Training. I received my BS in Physical Education at Dakota State University. I have also recently received my Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University in Irvine, California.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe an effective teacher must have a solid foundation of meaningful relationships with their students. Students will not care how much you know until they know how much you care. When a student feels valued they will maintain a passion to succeed over a longer period of time. You must, as an educator, be a good example to the students; there is a difference between impressing students and impacting students.
