Welcome to my webpage! I was born in New Jersey and moved to Arizona in 2004. I attended Basha High School and graduated in 2009. As a product of the Chandler Unified School District, I know first-hand how great this district is as a student and teacher. I teach Resource English for the Freshmen and Junior levels. I also co-teach in Freshman and Junior level English classes as well.
My Education and Professional Background
I have been a part of the Puma Family since 2014, but began teaching in 2016. Before I began teaching, I had prior experience working with elementary school students in after school programs. I also spent two years as a Paraeducator in on-level classes. As a Paraeducator I worked closely with students in their English 10, 11, and 12 classes, focusing on accommodating any students with special needs in their class. In 2013, I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing. In 2017, I earned my M.Ed. in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. I believe that education is a life-long pursuit and I plan on earning additional degrees and memberships to perfect my craft.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that every student has the opportunity to learn with the right tools as well as the guidance and support from their family and teachers. I believe that no two students learn exactly the same way. My goal is to use my students' strengths to their advantage and work through any challenges they may possess in a positive, safe learning environment.
