    Welcome to Navarrete 6th grade! I am so proud to be part of an amazing school where students, parents, teachers and administration work together to achieve success. I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I lived in Spain for a year and a half, where I learned a loved for the Spanish people and their language. After returning from Spain, I met my husband. After my husband finished graduate school in New York, we moved to Arizona and now have 4 beautiful children.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have a B.A. in English with a Spanish minor from the University of Utah. I most recently fulfilled a life-long dream and completed my post-baccalaureate teaching certificate in Elementary Education. I did so with high honors and academic distinction. In addition, I completed a full SEI endorsement. I have taught preschool in the private school setting for two years. I also have in depth training in Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy through SARRC (Southwest Research and Resource Center).

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that every child is capable of success and that a key part of that is learning to rise above failures. Each child deserves to be given the tools to expand their learning. It is my goal to provide the very best instruction, engaging activities, and challenging opportunities, all in a safe and positive classroom environment. I truly believe that a classroom that promotes kindness, respect and team work will facilitate life-long learners.
