Our journey began in the summer of 2016. Andersen Elementary staff attended multiple trainings and learned the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, How to Create Culture, How to Launch Leadership, and How to Teach Others the 7 Habits. In July 2016, we launched the program and began teaching our first group of students to benefit from The Leader in Me. In 2017, staff will add Aligning Academics to our toolbox. Academic goads will be aligned to ensure student success.
What is The Leader In Me? The Leader in Me is Franklin Covey's whole school transformation process. It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.

We are proud to be a leader in me school where students discover and practice leadership and life skills from Stephen Coveys' book, the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. It's the passion of every staff member at Andersen Elementary to develop leadership in all children. We help our students become ready to succeed in their personal lives. They are able to problem solve, think critically, communicate effectively and work with others.
