Welcome!

In this class we will problem solve together in hopes of learning something every day and challenging ourselves to grow and achieve.

My Education and Professional Background

This will be my second year teaching science at Casteel. I received my Bachelor's of Education from Arizona State University (go devils!) and I am currently working towards my Master's of Educational Leadership at Northern Arizona University (go lumberjacks!).

My Educational Philosophy

Students in my class watch, practice, and teach to help them learn different science concepts. My goal is to get each and every student to engage with the material more than just copying down information to memorize. With a growth mindset, students can measure their achievement by how much they have learned instead of just how they have scored. Every one is a scientist and a problem solver at heart; I hope that every student leaves my class enjoying science a little more than when they arrived.
