About
Green...
Hey Haley Tigers! I'm Miss. Green and I am thrilled for another year as the K-3rd Resource Teacher. In fall of 2016, I had the privilege of student teaching here at Haley. After graduating, I had the great opportunity to jump onto the Special Education team permanently. I am pumped to to start another school year with Tiger Pride.
My Education and Professional Background
I grew up in west Chandler and attended school in both Kyrene and Tempe Union School Districts. I headed up to Flagstaff Arizona after graduating high school in 2012. Being an NAU Lumberjack was an incredible experience for 2 years; however, I missed home and headed back to the valley where I became a ASU Sun Devil. I graduated from the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College with a Bachelors of Art in Elementary and Special Education in December 2016.
My Educational Philosophy
My classroom is notorious for laughter and learning with a multi-sensory approach in a respectful environment. I utilize music, movement and imagery into each lesson because as a past resource student myself, I know that every child learns differently. We are a family in my room and my students know that they need to challenge themselves each and every day. We work as a team and the words, "I can't" is not in our vocabulary. We've got a job to do, and that's to show everyone that the kids in room A23 are the best students on campus!
