About
Aho...
Welcome to Ms. Aho's 5th grade class! I cannot wait to get this upcoming school year started! I am eager to meet you all!
My Education and Professional Background
The 2017-2018 school year will be my 5th year teaching! I taught two years of 2nd grade in Ogden, Utah. I moved to Monterey, California and taught 2nd grade for one year. Then moved back to Ogden, Utah and taught one year of Kindergarten at a STEM school. Finally I'm teaching 5th grade here in Chandler. I graduated from Utah State University with a dual Bachelor degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I also have an ESL (English as Second Language) endorsement.
My Educational Philosophy
I love teaching! I try to make my classroom a fun but structured environment. I feel it is important to have a love for learning, and I try to foster my students to enjoy learning. Having a positive classroom environment is crucial to each child meeting their full potential. I will respect my students each and every day and expect the same in return. By setting high standards in both academics and behavior, students will strive to meet their goals!
