|Position:||Resource/ 4th & 6th|
Welcome!Hello everyone and thank you for visiting my page. I have been teaching in the Special Education Department at Sanborn since 2013. I work with 4th, 5th and 6th grade resource students, primarily focusing on math, reading and writing. I'm truly excited and thankful to be at Sanborn where I've been able to work with the wonderful group of teachers and students we have here.
My Education and Professional Background
I received my undergraduate degree in Physical Education from ASU, and my Master's Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from ASU as well. I previously taught at Shumway Elementary in the resource department, and I started at Chandler High School where I taught special education and Physical Education. I also coach high school football in the east valley, which I’ve been doing since 2012. I believe that all students have the ability to learn, no matter what their disability. All students process information differently and at different speeds but are quite capable of success. I hope to direct students to achieve academic skills while at the same time facilitate their social and emotional development, with a goal of becoming lifelong learners. I strive to help students not only with their academic needs, but also to develop strong character.
