Welcome! This is Mr. Griffin’s first teaching job and he is very excited to be here at Hamilton! Students and parents please visit this page often for updates on what we are learning in class about US history.
My Education and Professional Background
Prior to teaching, Mr. Griffin worked as an academic advisor for two different universities (University of Phoenix, Online and later Arizona State University). Mr. Griffin holds a BS in Human Services (2006) and a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Secondary Education (2017). Mr. Griffin loves to travel and has been to 15 different countries, and loves experience different cultures and see history come alive. Mr. Griffin is also a huge hockey fan and fan of sports in general. Mr. Griffin has been married for 5 years to his wife, Irene, and they have a very cute bulldog named Isis.
My Educational Philosophy
I hope to help my students develop into more informed citizens with strong critical thinking skills. History helps us to see ourselves better and understand what has shapped the world we live in. Even more importantly, history provides suggestions for how we might make a better world
