About
Jackson...
Welcome! I am so excited to be your student’s 4th grade teacher! I look forward to getting to know you and your students as we make our way through a wonderful school year.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Northern Arizona University in the Spring of 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education. During my last semester of college, I was a student teacher here at Sanborn in Mrs. Johnson’s 4th grade room and have been teaching 4th grade since the 2018-2019 school year.
My Educational Philosophy
It is my responsibility to facilitate meaningful learning in the classroom and to inspire students to become responsible citizens. I hold all students to high expectations and challenge them academically, while providing them with the level of support needed to reach their potential in the classroom and beyond. A safe learning environment where students feel most comfortable taking risks and sharing their ideas creates a community of lifelong learners who value collaboration and the power of knowledge.
