About
Lopez-Doty...
Bienvenidos a segundo grado! Welcome to 2nd grade! I am beyond excited to be part of this amazing school. My name is Eliane Lopez-Doty (Señora Doty). This year I am partnering with Mrs. Jauregui to teach 2nd grade in the DLI program. I love reading, traveling and learning! My favorite book is 'The Little Prince' by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Learning has always been part of my life, and I truly can't wait to share my passion for learning with my students!
My Education and Professional Background
I was born and raised in Sonora, Mexico. Spanish is my first language however, I had the amazing opportunity of attending a Dual Language Immersion Program learning English, from kinder to 7th grade. I graduated from ASU with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary and Organizational Studies. Go Sun Devils! In April of 2018, I graduated from Rio Salado College with an Elementary Education Certification and specializations in Spanish and Structured English Immersion (SEI).
My Educational Philosophy
My goal is to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment that fosters a love for learning. I want to help students develop critical thinking skills and confidence in their abilities.
