Welcome to Mrs. Wilcox’s Special Education Room!
My Education and Professional Background
I started my career in education as an instructional assistant in 2012. While working as an instruction assistant in a special education classroom, I received my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Azusa Pacific University. I later earned my Mild to Moderate Special Education Credential and master’s degree in Digital Teaching and Learning from Azusa Pacific University as well. I have previously taught in various special education classrooms ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade.
My Educational Philosophy
My educational philosophy is that all students can learn in their own unique way. I believe the best way to unlock a student’s love for learning is to work with them as a team to determine the best way for them to learn. I also believe that it is my job as a teacher to provide a safe, loving, and fun environment for them to do so.
