Welcome to Mrs. Wilcox’s Special Education Room! I recently moved here from California and I am so excited to be a part of the Auxier family.
My Education and Professional Background
I started my career in education as an instructional assistant in 2012. While working as an instruction assistant in a self-contained classroom, I received my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Azusa Pacific University. I later earned my Mild to Moderate Special Education Credential and master’s degree in Digital Teaching and Learning from Azusa Pacific University as well. I have previously taught the K-3rd Resource Program in Temecula, CA for the past two years.
My Educational Philosophy
My educational philosophy is that all students can learn in their own unique way. I believe the best way to unlock a student’s love for learning is to work with them as a team to determine the best way for them to learn. I also believe that it is my job as a teacher to provide a safe, loving, and fun environment for them to do so.
