Q. Does Chandler Unified accept an Emergency Substitute Certificate?
Chandler Unified is not currently accepting an Emergency Substitute Certificate
Q. What are the pay rates?
Certified Substitute Teacher
Full day Up to 8 hours: $170.00
Half day 4 hours and 15 minutes or less: $85.00
Substitute Registered Nurse
Full Day: $170.00
Half Day: $85.00
Long Term Certified Teacher
Full Day: $200.00
Half Day: $100.00
Substitute Para Educator (No Certificate Required): $17.68
Attire should be in good taste, clean, pressed and in good repair. Clothing should have adequate coverage to allow a full range of movement without skin or undergarments showing Please dress appropriately for the assignment. PE knee length shorts and athletic shoes are ok.
The District discourages visible tattoos and piercings other than ears.
Monday - Thursday is Business Casual
Friday
- Slacks in non-denim material
- Dresses/skirts (no more than 3” above the knee)
- Leggings, tights (with mid-thigh or longer top)
- Clean and neat shoes
- Sandals (Leather or leather like with or without back straps)
- Jeans, blue and colored
- Skort (no more than 3” above the knee)
- T-shirts with school logo or school related information
- Spirit Days- attire must still be in alignment with dress code requirements
Q. How do I register with SmartFind Express, or make changes to my profile?
A. All first time users must first register by phone 480-646-4246. Please call the telephone number provided by ESI. For the first use, enter your employee ID number as both the Access ID and the Default PIN. The system will then prompt you to create a new, 6 digit PIN.
Q: I received an expiration notification from SFE (SmartFind Express)... what do I do?
A: Check the expiration dates on your certificate and fingerprint clearance card.
To renew your certificate, click here: Arizona Department of Education website. When you receive your certificate, please scan and email a copy to hardinsylvestre.marissa@cusd80.com and include instructions to update the SmartFind database for Chandler Unified School District.
Fingerprint clearance card applications and renewals are available here: Arizona Department of Public Safety. Upon receipt of the new card, please scan and email a copy (front and back) to hardinsylvestre.marissa@cusd80.com with instructions to update the SmartFind database for Chandler Unified School District.
