Preparing for the New School Year

The first day of the 26/27school year is Wednesday, July 15. As we prepare to kick off another incredible school year, we want to share a few important updates, resources, and reminders to help your family get ready.

Reminders, Resources, and Updates

• Individual schools will communicate directly with families prior to the first day regarding important dates, class placements, supply lists, schedules, and more. Because our teams are working hard to finalize everything, schedules and teacher assignments will be released closer to the start of school. Thank you so much for your patience!
   
• Infinite Campus (IC) is our Student Information System. This is where you will update your contact details.
   
• ParentSquare is the school to home, district to home communication tool. We encourage families to download the FREE apps for both Infinite Campus and ParentSquare.
   
• Students (Grades 7–12), download the free StudentSquare app to stay up to date on district happenings and easily communicate with teachers.
   
• Bus information will be available starting the week of July 6 in Infinite Campus (IC). July 6 is when IC begins rolling over to the new school year.
   
• To register for preschool, PreK, Kids Express before and after school care, or enrichment camps and clinics, families go through Community Education. Eleyo is the platform Community Education uses for program registration. Click to view the Community Education webpage. 
   
• For school meal prices and menus, families go through CUSD Food and Nutrition. This department uses the FREE MealViewer app to display menus and MySchoolBucks for meal payments. MealViewer is available in the App Store or Google Play. Click to view the Food and Nutrition webpage for more information on both MealViewer and MySchoolBucks. 
   
• CUSD has a robust, second-to-none Athletics program. In the 25-26 school year alone, CUSD saw nearly 100 team and individual state champions! To sign up for a CUSD sport, families will use Register My Athlete. Click to view the CUSD Athletics webpage.   
   
• High school families, we encourage you to be in the know of your child's school counselor. A great place to start is the counseling and social services department. Click to view the Counseling webpage.

We want you to enjoy every last drop of your summer break! However, with July 15 right around the corner, we encourage you to strengthen your routines now. Easing into earlier bedtimes and morning schedules over the next two weeks will help ensure smooth, organized, and stress-free school days when we return.

Additional Support

Ahead of the start of school, Chandler students and families are invited to the annual Operation Back to School event to receive free backpacks, shoes, socks, and school supplies!

• When: Saturday, July 11 | 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
• Where: Compass Christian Church (Chandler, AZ)
• Format: Walk-up event.
• Requirements: Students must be present and must either reside in the City of Chandler or attend a Chandler/CUSD school.
