                            Beth Herbert
     
    I was born and raised in a small town in Western Kansas.  I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas (political science/business) - yes, I'm a Jayhawk!  I then moved to Arizona, obtained my first job, met my future husband, got married, and had six (6) children.  I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom for many years.  Later, I returned to college to obtain a Post-Baccalaureate in Secondary Education and Masters of Education.
     
    The next phase of my life led me to join the inaugural team at Perry High School in 2007 (following one year at Hamilton and two years at Basha).  I love being a teacher; I love teaching seniors; and I love being a Puma!
     
    (I also teach as adjunct faculty at both ASU and Chandler-Gilbert Community College.)
     
    I strongly believe in communication with parents and students.  Each week, I email parents with curriculum information, assignment due dates, information important for seniors and their parents, etc.  This website is updated regularly so students can access our daily activities, handouts and other materials.  This can be particularly important during an absence. Please contact me via email or telephone if you have any questions or concerns. 
     
    I look forward to a fabulous year for our Puma Seniors. 
     
    Our family has grown now to include 7 grandbabies, 3 sons-in-law, and 3 daughter-in-law.  Big group!  The negative:  only one lives in Arizona.  The positive:  I have lots of places to visit during school breaks!
