Welcome to 5th Grade! I am so excited to be working with your child this year; it will be filled with exploration, fun, and learning!
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in History and a Master’s degree in Education in Curriculum & Instruction. I have been teaching since 2008. I started at Haley in 2013 and have had to opportunity to job share many years in both 4th and 5th grade. I am happy to be back at Haley full-time for the 2020-2021 school year! I have a daughter, Lill who attends Haley (yay!) and a little boy, Fitz who is starting Pre-K this year. My husband, Adam, and I enjoy running, hiking, traveling, and supporting ASU athletics in our free time. I can’t wait to start our amazing 5th grade year together!
My Educational Philosophy
I believe in fostering a community environment in the classroom where everyone feels comfortable taking risks and sharing their wonderful ideas. I want to create life-long learners who value education and who are excited to tackle new opportunities.
