Each year, he visits around Veteran's Day to share his story of serving in Vietnam. Students learned about Vietnam, Parris Island, his tour of duty, travels, patrols, and the traditions of the Marine Corps. She partnered with Phoenix Rescue Mission who provided a list of immediate needs. The funds purchased hundreds of pairs of briefs and socks for men and women.
