  • In order for us to project class sizes next school year (2020-2021) and to plan for the needs of our students, PLEASE complete the online Student Intent to Return Form (your link is below) by 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020.  The Student Intent to Return Form MUST be completed for EVERY student in kindergarten through 5th grade.

  • Exciting News!  Galveston will be opening another Preschool Class on campus beginning January 7, 2020.  It will be an all-day class:  8:25 a.m. -2:25 p.m. There will only be 20 slots available, so if you are interested, please come to our office and enroll your child as soon as possible.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our front office at 480-812-6500.

  • We are excited to announce our new Fruit and Vegetable Program!    Wednesdays and Fridays students at Galveston will be receiving a fruit or vegetable snack during the day, accompanied by a nutritional lesson to go along with the snack.   This will begin on Wednesday, October 23rd.

  • Congratulations to Gracie Orozco, who will represent Galveston as one of Scruffy's Tuffy's at the Chandler High football game on September 27, 2019.  Gracie consistently exhibits the six pillars of Chandler High School:    Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.  We are proud to say Gracie is a Galveston Lion!!!

  • Si Se Puede will be sponsoring a Chess Club here at Galveston.   Beginning Thursday, October 24th.  After school - 2:45-4:00!   This club will be available to all 4th-6th Graders.  Fee will be $10.00.

  • ALL SECOND GRADE PARENTS:   please support your child and join us for a night of data sharing.   Teachers and coaches will share information and give you strategies to take home so you can help your child succeed at school.  It will be held in the Library (Media Center).  We will begin promptly at 5:15 and finish by 6:30.   This is a great opportunity for you to be involved in your student's education.   We hope to see you there.

  • We are continuing the tradition of showing our Galveston Pride.   Students may wear their "Galveston Pride is Deep Inside" shirt (with uniform pants/shorts/skirts) the first Friday of every month.  If you don't have one yet, stay tuned.  Student Council will be selling them after October break!

  • Thanksgiving and December Holiday Assistance at Chandler CARE Center

    Registration for both Thanksgiving food boxes and December gift distribution will take place at the CARE Center (777 E. Galveston St., Chandler 85225) from September 3-November 1. We are OPEN during fall intersession, and will offer registration on Saturday, 9/21 and Saturday, 10/19 from 9 - 11 am.

     In order to register, families must live in the city of Chandler and/or have at least one child enrolled in a CUSD school. When registering, please bring: - Photo ID for adult head of household - Proof of address, such as utility bill, city services bill, rent/mortgage statement, car registration, etc. dated within 60 days For December Holiday gift assistance, please also bring: - Proof of school enrollment for all CUSD students. You can ask your child's school to print a CUSD Student Profile that lists all children in the household enrolled in a CUSD school. - Birth certificates for any child NOT enrolled in school.
