Backpack/Bag Check for Finals Week
There will be NO backpacks or purses allowed starting on Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 and then again on Wed., May 25 and Thurs., May 26. No bag, no wait! If you must bring a bag, a clear bag would make the line go much faster. Expect a line if you bring a bag as all bags will be searched for anything inappropriate for school that could be considered dangerous to others or disruptive. These items will be confiscated. Example of items not allowed are Sharpies, silly string, bouncy balls, water balloons, stink bombs, water guns, vapes, illegal substance, etc. Thank you for your cooperation!

The Department of Veterans Affairs will dedicate their Gilbert Clinic to U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Alexander W. Conrad, in a ceremony on 23 April 2022 at 11:00am.
The ceremony will take place at the VA clinic, located at 3285 S. Val Vista Drive and will be live streamed via YouTube. All community members are welcome to attend.
SSG Conrad, a 2010 Hamilton High School graduate, who had been twice deployed to Afghanistan, was killed in a June 8, 2018, firefight with al-Qaida-aligned al Shabaab militants in Somalia. He was a posthumous recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with Valor and Meritorious Service Medal.
Born in Mesa, Alex joined the Army in June 2010. After completing initial training, he was stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, as a human intelligence collector. While stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Alex deployed to Afghanistan twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
He later completed the French Basic Language Course at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in 2016, and was subsequently assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group as a human intelligence noncommissioned officer.
