CUSD Nutrition 2022-2023 Update

  • Hello!

CUSD Nutrition is excited to welcome back students and staff! The purpose of this announcement is to keep Team Chandler informed on updates coming out of the CUSD Nutrition Department.

First, due to USDA regulations, Universal Free meals have not been extended to the 2022-23 school year for most schools. Meal prices for the 2022-23 school year are listed on our website.  However, families can apply for Free and Reduced Meals in a quick and easy online format here.  We have also updated our on-line menu platform for the 22-23 SY.  Menus for all programs can be accessed here: MealViewer Schools.

Bulleted below are other updates to make you aware of that are based on school status:

    • CUSD Nutrition will continue to provide FREE breakfast in the classroom at Frye, Galveston, Hartford, and San Marcos.
    • CUSD Nutrition will continue to provide FREE lunch for students attending Galveston, Hartford, and San Marcos. Students at these three schools do not need to submit free and reduced applications to access the free meals.
    • All other sites outside of those mentioned above will be paid meal sites and students will be required to qualify via application for Free/Reduced meals.

Finally, we created a frequently asked questions about school breakfast and lunch for the new 2022-23 school year. If your question is not addressed on the FAQ, feel free to email us at nutrition@cusd80.com and remember to look at our website for more information on our program.

Communications to CUSD families will be cascaded via school messenger, our point-of-sale system, social media, and directly from school sites.
