Carlson Elementary learned on Feb. 22, 2023 that they were named an Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF®) A+ School of Excellence® for 2023. This makes 97 times that CUSD schools have earned A+ Schools of Excellence® or U.S. Blue Ribbon awards since 1983, more than any other district in the state. AEF® has identified and honored exemplary pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public schools in Arizona since 1983. The A+ School of Excellence® Award is the highest state-level recognition an Arizona public school may receive.
