CUSD and CARE Center Recognize Dr. Swearingen, Volunteer Medical Provider

CUSD Night of Recognition Award Recipient Dr. Rick Swearingen

On February 19, 2025, Chandler Unified School District held the annual Night of Recognition. The staff of the Chandler CARE Center is thrilled to celebrate our Outstanding Volunteer Award recipient, Dr. Rick Swearingen.

Dr. Swearingen has served as a volunteer doctor in the Chandler CARE Center's Children's Medical Clinic for several years, providing no-cost, compassionate care to uninsured children in the district. He can often be found working well into the late afternoon hours, connecting with families, and finding resources to help kids struggling with complex medical issues. He says, "There is no more precious resource than our children...I choose to give of my time and resources locally...as I believe the value is immediate, impactful, and meaningful." His kindness, professionalism, and compassion make Chandler a better place for all, and the staff and community at the Chandler CARE Center are proud to recognize his dedication and commitment.
