Year in Review: 23-24

Bogle Junior High School had an amazing year during 2023-2024. Check out all the exciting things the Bulldogs achieved.

Bogle Girls Junior State Championship

Bogle Junior High Cheer won State Runner-Up (2nd place out of 10) for the entire state of Arizona. 

Academic Pentathlon

Hunter Bannon participated in the Academic Pentathlon National online competition which tests students across the nation in five academic categories. In the eighth grade Honors category for mathematics, Hunter had a perfect score and took home a gold medal!

Alexis Lugo participated in the Academic Pentathlon National competition on Friday, May 17, 2024. She placed third and took home the bronze medal in Literature and Fine Arts for 7th graders competing as individuals. She also finished in fourth place overall in her cumulative score for all five subjects tested. Great job, Alexis!

Respect Ticket Lunch

Students who had 20 or more respect tickets for the second semester got to have lunch with Mrs. Cook.

Bogle Botz Team

Our Bogle Botz Team went to Dallas for the VEX Robotics World Championship. At one point in the competition, they partnered with a team from China to win their match. Global teamwork makes a difference!

Bogle Jazz Band

Congratulations to the Bogle Jazz Ensemble, they received a Superior Rating at the Arizona State Jazz Festival. Ben Braidic and Sean Kirkham received an Outstanding Soloist award. Bogle Jazz Ensemble has the highest standards (first place) in the state of Arizona at the Middle School/Jr. High Level.

Visiting artist at Bogle

During third quarter, Ms. Hurd's students had the amazing opportunity to work with visiting artist Mei-Kuei Chan. Their artwork was on display at the Chandler Center for the Arts.

Honor Orchestra Recognition

Students who were chosen for the 2024 all-district honor orchestra include Regina Rascon Leon, Miller Coates, Alexis Lugo, Kyler Lister, Nylah Williams, Troy Figueroa, Jacob Valenzuela, Sam Braidic and Romen Cruz. Plus, special congratulations to Regina Rascon Leon, who earned first chair, concertmaster, all-district!

Flag Football

Congratulations to the 8th grade flag football team and their coaches for winning the EVC championship!

Mandarin Startalk

Eight of our Mandarin Dual Language Immersion students discovered they were accepted to STARTALK, a federal grant program overseen by the National Security Agency. The highly competitive, nationwide program will take place this summer at the University of Arizona.

EVC Wrestling Champion

Pierce Tallman was the EVC champion in his wrestling weight class. Congratulations!

And Then Some ...

The Governing Board and Superintendent Narducci recognized Mr. Chapin for giving the “…and then some”. During a wrestling emergency, he was administrator, teacher, and then some. Way to go, Mr. Chapin!

12 News A+ Teacher

Congratulations to Kayla Burden, a Bogle Junior High School 7th grade Language Arts teacher! She was selected as a 12News A+ Teacher after being nominated by a former student named Christina Hudson. Watch the story: https://bit.ly/4bRtCJg.
