Welcome to English Language Arts in room 80! I am thrilled to be your teacher this year as I know we will all have a terrific time together with tons of learning opportunities.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated Arizona State University (GO DEVILS) with a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in US History. I am highly qualified to teach English Language Arts giving me the awesome privilege to teach junior high.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that every student has a unique set of gifts and as their teacher I continue to push each of my students to reach their full potential. We do this through rigorous lessons and establishing a caring environment where students feel safe to take risks and extend their learning. I firmly believe that with a combination of a positive learning environment and a thought-provoking curriculum every student can be successful. I am excited to see how each student grows both as individuals and as learners this year.
